A little about our added ingredients
Sweet Almond Oil is rich in vitamin A & E, also containing B7, zinc and omega 3. The fatty acids oleic and linoleic acids help keep hair soft and strong. It also contains Biotin which promotes hair growth. The emollient properties of Almond oil are said to help loosen dead skin cells from the scalp, why not try a prewash scalp treatment by massaging a few drops of this lovely oil into your scalp before you shampoo.

Coconut Oil is packed with fatty acids, predominantly lauric acid which is easily absorbed by the hair because of it is structure. Coconut oil is said to be good for all hair types helping improve hair texture and restore health and shine.

Hydrolysed Wheat Protein is a cationic plant-based protein that is similar in structure to hair making it easily absorbed. This provides high substantivity to hair and can have hair repairing properties. Hydrolysed protein is good for colour treated hair improving colour deposition and the retention of dyes on the hair.

Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) helps hair shine without greasiness. Research has shown that if you leave Panthenol on your hair for 2 minutes before rinsing it can swell the hair shaft making thinker, helping add body.

Rosemary Essential Oil is used by trichologists for its analgesic properties to sooth irritated scalps and treat dandruff. This herb oil is believed to promote hair growth and add shine.

Cedarwood Essential Oil has antifungal and antibacterial properties and therefore thought to help with dandruff and hair loss. Cedarwood is also thought to help balance sebum production.

Lemongrass Essential Oil is thought to be beneficial in the treatment of dandruff and a flake-free scalp.

Our bars contain BMTS 50, a naturally derived product that provides outstanding conditioning and smooth, shiny hair. which is 50% Behentrimonium Methosulfate a cationic (positive charged) conditioning compound. BTMS 50 is known as one of the best detangling ingredients in the world. Why? Because like a magnet the positively charged BTMS 50 is attracted to our negatively charged hair, it coats the surface of each fibre making the hair cuticles lay flat - you get silky, smooth hair. Hair fibre with raised cuticles is prone to long term damage. The best news is that damaged and chemically treated hair has a higher PH and negative charge than normal hair, so it is even more attractive to BTSM 50. BTMS 50 doesn’t like water, so unlike some other conditioner it doesn’t rinse away. Don’t worry about a build-up of BTMS 50 on your hair as it washes away next time you shampoo.
